How does billing work?
You'll be charged $6 per month (or $60 per year) automatically via Stripe, one of the world's most secure payment processors. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard with no questions asked.
What's included in the free plan?
The free plan includes 1 test secret (with unlimited recipients and 1-hour expiration for quick testing) and 1 regular secret (with 1 recipient). It's perfect for trying out the service or protecting your single most important secret. Health check settings are fixed at 30-day intervals with a 7-day response window.
What happens if I miss a health check?
If you don't click the confirmation link in the health check email within your configured timeframe, your active secrets will automatically be sent to all designated recipients for those secrets. To help prevent accidents, we'll send you 2 follow-up reminder emails (at 50% and 80% of your response window) before your secrets are revealed.
Can I store multiple secrets?
Yes! With a paid subscription, you can create unlimited secrets. Each secret can have different recipients and all your secrets use the same health check schedule that you configure in your profile settings. Free users are limited to 1 regular secret and 1 test secret.
How secure is my data?
Very secure. All secrets are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption, the same standard used by governments and banks. We cannot read your secrets even if we wanted to. Only you and your designated recipients (in case of missed health check) can decrypt them.
Can I change my health check frequency?
With a paid subscription, you can adjust your health check interval anytime from your settings page, choosing anywhere from weekly (7 days) to annually (365 days). The change takes effect for your next health check. Free users have a fixed 30-day interval.
What if I need to pause the service temporarily?
You can mark individual secrets as "inactive" in your dashboard, which pauses health checks for those specific secrets. Or you can cancel your subscription entirely and reactivate it later.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly plans?
Yes! You can upgrade from monthly to yearly at any time through your billing portal. The change will take effect at the start of your next billing period, and you'll save 17% immediately.
When will SMS notifications be available?
SMS notifications for health check reminders are currently in development and will be available soon for all paid subscribers. You'll be able to receive text message alerts in addition to email notifications for added peace of mind.
